Rebecca was as robotic as can be.

I always enjoyed the movie but watching it again for the 5th time, I see sooo many holes in the movie. Plus Campbell Scott character is soo annoyingly stupid. Then again whimpy characters are like that in real life too

Raul Julia got food poisoned in Mexico and months later also felt intense abdominal pain days before his death, just like in the movie. And the old movie in it also mirrors the characters' lives... weird coincidence.

One of the worst movies I've ever seen. Fingernails on chalk board.

Stupenda pellicola, certo non è chissà che cosa e c'è qualche ingenuità ma comunque è interessante con alcuni colpi di scena riusciti, ci sono degli errori come il fatto che il calendario di Giuseppe dice "venerdì 12 marzo 1997". Il 12 marzo 1997 era un mercoledì, quindi stupenda e stupenda per me come valutazione è 8.

The best Mamet film.

Hated it. One example: On the plane Susan reassures Mr. Dipshit that the FBI lady is legitimate. Turns out she wasn't, but it doesn't occur to El Dipshit that Susan might be in on it.

Fun movie, but as usual with these intricate plots, it makes no sense if you think about it. The bad guys' whole plan required Joe to make so many decisions that they couldn't possibly know he would make, like refusing to get paid for the camera so Jimmy could say he's a great guy and invite him to dinner, recognizing that Jimmy's sister was fake so he would call the fake FBI agent etc. Not only that, but the US Marshall's plan was even more ridiculous. Like they knew that Susan would have Joe buy a clover to put on his lapel so they could install a microphone there and then knew that he would recognize the need to run back for the book as he was going through security, and then they knew that he would sneak onto the ferry. Oh and apparently Jimmy was in on the Marshalls' plan too because how else would he know to wait for Joe on that ferry? It's just too much.

One of the Dumbest Movies Ever Made!

William Hurt....the finest, sophisticated acting, simple top, I've always loved ihim ... and every time I watch a movie, it ends in tears

I saw this movie ten year ago in Boston, randomly walked into it with no idea what it is about. It became one of my favorites, one of the perfect movies. Hurt is wonderful, and Raul is equally good. After watching it few more times, I have to say Raul's role is probably more difficult. The story is very strange, but convincing and moving. Two ppl with some many opposite qualities learned something from each, the weak become strong, the cold become warm ... As a true work of art, can never be copied and stays one of the kind.
